Synopsis :
This film had all the ingredients to click with the Indian milieu by and large. There was an obedient boy, a docile and domesticated girl and some funny and free-spirited souls who were the sakhas and sakhis of the boy and the girl.
Raam Laxman’s music caught the nation’s heart and the innocence exuded by Bhagyashree became the dream of every youth. Salman Khan was liked but the biggest beneficiary of Maine Pyar Kiya was Reema Lagoo who played Salman’s mother.
Reema Lagoo redefined the look and character of a mother in Hindi films. She was gorgeous, wore bright colors, dressed glamorously and was yet an affectionate, large-hearted mom.
